
… is a light pollution researcher and science communicator based in Austria. As a Senior Scientist at the Slovak Academy of Sciences, he leads research in atmospheric radiative transfer and night sky photometry. Independently, he operates one of Europe’s largest light pollution monitoring networks in Austria. He serves as Chair of DarkSky Austria and has contributed to the certification of several internationally recognised dark sky areas. Stefan is also a freelance lecturer and public outreach advocate with a long track record of engaging audiences on the impacts of artificial light at night.
