ELPC is a dynamic network that brings together a wide range of groups, working towards the reduction of light pollution in Europe, enabling them to exchange knowledge and experiences. We aim to facilitate cooperation among members and partners, encouraging collaboration on joint projects and initiatives.

EURODARK 2026

We had two days with interesting talks and discussions, three productive workshops, two wonderful films about the night (Darkness Matters by Constanza Julia Bani & The Colour of the Night Sky by Zoltán Kolláth), the magical music of Teddy Hwang, and a breathtaking nature-night-walk to the Stargazing Bowl at Gepatsch.

On the day before EURODARK, we had a lively exchange at the German-speaking Dark Sky Park meeting.

Thank you so much to Stefanie Pontasch, Stefanie Suchy, Lena Oberdorfer, and Johannes Kostenzer from Tyrolian Environmental Ombudsoffice (ELPC founding member) for organising and funding the conference.

At Eurodark 2024 in Groningen, the decision to create the European Light Pollution Coalition was made. It’s not a new idea and not the first attempt, but we have a great momentum and with your help we can make this vision become real.

We haven’t decided on the where and when of the next Eurodark, but we have already begun organising it, so stay tuned for the next one, probably in 2028.
